• Employee Equity Program Cancelled

    Beginning July 1, 2024, our Employee Equity Program will be cancelled and we will be returning to a gratuity system due to California’s new “Hidden Fees Statute” (SB 478), which makes it illegal for businesses to advertise or list a price for a good or service that does not include all required fees or charges other than certain government taxes and shipping costs.

    The law simply requires that the price listed include all mandatory charges, and does not change what price a business can charge or what may be included in that cost.

  • Important Changes – Our New Employee Equity Program

    Effective February 2024

    Sushi Spot restaurants are delighted to announce some exciting changes that will benefit both our valued customers and hardworking staff members.

    We would like to inform you that we will no longer be accepting gratuities!

    Instead, we will be implementing a new policy by applying an 18% employee equity charge to all dine-in orders and a 10% employee equity charge to all take-out orders.

    This service charge not only ensures that our dedicated staff receive higher living wages but also promotes a fair and equitable distribution of income throughout our team.

    It is important to note that 100% of these service charges will be directly allocated to our deserving employees at Sushi Spot.
